Privacy Policy

UPI Tracker ("we", "the service"), available at upi.toolchai.com, helps you understand your own UPI spending. This policy explains what data we handle and the choices you have, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a one-way hash of your password. We never see or store your password itself.
- Transaction data you choose to add: amounts, dates, merchant or person names, UPI IDs, reference numbers, the payment app, and the text of bank SMS or statement lines you import or forward.
- Technical data: standard web server logs (IP address, time, page requested), kept for security and kept for no more than 30 days.
We do not collect your bank account passwords, UPI PIN, card numbers or OTPs, and we never ask for them. Uploaded statement files are read to extract transactions and are not stored.
Why we use it
Only to provide the service to you: show your dashboard, categorize your payments and keep you logged in. We do not sell your data, show ads based on it, or share it with anyone, except where Indian law requires us to.
Where it is stored
On servers located in India. Data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Backups are kept for up to 14 days.
Your rights and choices
- Access and export: download all your transactions as CSV any time from Account → Export.
- Correction: edit or delete any transaction from your dashboard.
- Erasure: Account → Delete account permanently removes your account and all its data right away. Copies in backups expire within 14 days.
- Withdraw consent: deleting your account withdraws your consent. You can also turn off live SMS sync at any time by removing the forwarding rule on your phone.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 18.
